A Unique Eatery

This uniquely rustic-looking Dunkin’ in Maine needed a facelift in order to bring it up to the latest brand image. A majority of the work was related to rearranging the layout of the service and sales area as the franchisee wanted to make the service space larger. In addition, interior finishes were replaced, equipment and plumbing fixtures were replaced to be the most up-to-date, lighting was replaced to be LED, and new frontline millwork was placed, complete with new electrical and plumbing running through it in the kneewall. In the back of house, the office got a new desk for the franchisee. On the exterior, a new drive-through window was added, the monoliths were reworked, signage was added and canopies and accent bands were added. These additions as well as a fresh coat of paint in the updated Dunkin’ colors made for a much more modern-looking exterior, although the exterior is still fairly rustic-looking for a Dunkin’ since its a brick building. The site received new signage, a new menu board and speaker tower, striping, as well as some additional site accessories. In addition, a code study was carried out for this remodel and it was determined that the building was up to already up to code in regards to egress, occupancy levels per building usage type, and ADA compliance.
